This installation is made up of cake-decorator's white piped icing. Placed on the edge of two farm work shed doors, it gives the impression of stiff lace. The work is an inconspicuous, delicate and feminine intervention in the very masculine environment of the shed (used for storage of farm machinery). The icing frames the view of the landscape for those looking out the doors, its domestic associations mediating between the culture of the work shed, and the nature of the land beyond. |
