What do People do all day |
|
|
This
installation features a super 8 loop of myself eating froot loops in bed
projected onto a textile column. The other side of the column has the
childrenís rhyme ìtinker tailor soldier sailor ...î cross stitched
into it, next to each occupation plum seeds are sewn, a reference to my
own childhood memories of collecting plum seeds from plum puddings to see
which occupation I might marry. What
do people do all day quietly questions the importance of occupation to
social standing and the repetitive nature of ìgainful occupationî.
