Take me, I'm yours

An oven and a kitchen bench sit at one end of the gallery where each day a different person comes in and bakes a cake. The cake remains in the oven all day. The alluring aroma of the cake tantalises the viewer whose desire for the cake is left unsated. The denial of satisfaction presses the viewer into an uncomfortable consciousness of their own desires and appetites, prompting an awareness of their physical complicity within the power structures of our consumerist society.
